Yoga Teacher + Founder, Lyra Yoga
Yoga to me is a way of living. The traditions, the stories, the yoga poses - they give us the foundation to create ease and strength in the body, to free the mind, to live our lives with purpose, connection and great joy.
I found yoga and the freedom to move in my body and be at peace in my mind while hiking in the mountains as a young kid. Yoga is that soothing, freeing, strengthening practice for me now. And I am more thrilled than ever to be sharing my life's passion as my work, as a yoga teacher and heart-centered entrepreneur.
When you have students with joyful tears, and big smiles or simply emanating this sense of relief after yoga, you know something is resonating. The best part, for me, is that it's really not about me. I guide the experience. It's highly curated, the music, the place, the details, but it's the yoga teachings and the energy we create together. It's so incredibly special and I'm honored to share this with you.
Yoga Teacher, Lyra Yoga
Teaching yoga is such a passion for me and I am truly humbled that I get to do it each and every day.
I found my practice in 2006 when I first moved to San Francisco. As a runner and cyclist, yoga was such a different way to move my body and I immediately fell in love. My practice really took off in 2009 when I became pregnant with my son. I loved the way it felt on my changing body and couldn't wait to get on my mat. Now as a mom of two, yoga offers me so much more than just a physical practice.
It offers me to time to practice self care, the strength to move & sweat, and the mindfulness that is often times lost during busy days. As a teacher of yoga I hope to bring all of it's gifts and offerings to my students through beautifully thought out sequences, fun upbeat music and most of all love & compassion for all beings everywhere. I love teaching with Lrya as the headphones offer a way to truly drop in and experience your breath, your body and an amazing practice. I can't wait to meet you!
